Our Vice President of Commercial Development, Eric Minzenberger, was able to enjoy a relaxing evening with the Eagles this past weekend. The brand new KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville opened its doors and its history with a concert by the band whose longevity is only surpassed by their list of hit songs.

It wasn’t Eric’s first time in the new facility, however. He and Josh Rhodes were there about a month before the grand opening to facilitate the safe removal and lowering of an interior slab after being called in by one of the contractors for the project. Since a concrete wall was sitting on top of the slab, we installed 20 grouted piles vertically on 1′ centers to hold back the soil during the process. Our guys worked the late shift to accommodate the other projects being completed. After three nights, the piles were installed and the overall project was not delayed.
